During tour service on the fire department, you will encounter situations that may make you feel excluded because of your race. Or you may witness situations that were perceived as discriminatory against a citizen, another co-worker or to yourself. There is a way to address such incidents without having to feel isolated or be in fear of retaliation. CAAFA can help with this.

CAAFA works hard at setting up venues in which you can network with other firefighters that you may feel that you have similarities with and can share your (and their) experiences with to make your work life and personal life more meaningful.

CAAFA can also assist and help navigate your way through the various processes of getting promoted through the ranks and/or obtaining new skills to enhance your job performance.
